It does not work this way.

If you have not posted an impersonating posting, or wish for it to be
removed for other valid reasons, then:

Since in this case the used “From” address is apparently already your “From”
address, and you are using Google Groups, you can simply select “Delete”
from the posting menu in Google Groups. (If that were not so, you could
register the used From address as your additional Google account address –
confirmation required – and then select “Delete”.)

Unfortunately, this will not remove the message from Netnews servers.
(Google Groups literally only sucks in that regard, as one of many.)

However, AFAIK you are entitled to send a Cancel control message using the
same From address to a peering Netnews server where you have an account, to
request removal of this message from Usenet servers (but *only* in the case
of excessive spam, or forgery against you – third-party cancel for other
reasons will *not* be tolerated and may result in the termination of your
Usenet/Internet access due to a violation of the respective provider’s
Acceptable Use Policy; see the FAQ).

Finally, at least if you are a citizen of a member state of the European
Union, you have “the right to be forgotten”: you can request from Google
and others that (Google) Search results of impersonating/your postings in
Web archives (there are several Web forums that mirror Usenet newsgroups
without telling their users about it) be removed and the corresponding
resources not be re-indexed. I have made several such requests and some
have been successful.

It is also possible to start digitally signing your postings so that after
a time subscribers can verify whether something was really posted by you.

With all that said, the content of the posting that you have quoted here

It does not work this way.

It does not work as you describe it, either, as Archie Pu is more than
a trifle confused about what constitutes forgery.

By looking at the References header, included in your post, Archie is
whining about the non-forgery, which appeared in article
<news:4cb10914-b8af-4c81-81f0-***@h12g2000yqi.googlegroups.com>
(<http://al.howardknight.net/msgid.cgi?ID=150966899300>). As with all
posts to Usenet, which originate through Google's lame web2news
(http2nntp) interface, one must control the verified email address,
which appears in the From header, in order to post via their system.

Poor Archie never controlled the address,
<***@gmail.com>, thus he cannot claim forgery, as
the address is legitimate and belongs to someone other than Archie Pu.

This nonsense has been going on for years; yet Archie Pu still cannot
wrap his vastly superior intellect around these basic concepts.
