Hi, I wonder if the Port563 forger of quotes is the same forger who forged an entire post--

Anyway, I asked Tim Skirvin over in news.admin.net-abuse.misc to remove the forgery, but has not complied.

Perhaps Tim Skirvin believes I should delete it with the capability that Google provides, but that would be a moral dilemma for authors who never wrote a forgery, and by deleting it, would convey a false message that they somehow did write the forgery.

So, I need Tim to delete the forgery.

Archie Pu, after years of posting, you continue demonstrating that you
have absolutely no comprehension of what Usenet is and how it works.

Nothing you do, using your Gargoyle Gropes interface to Usenet, will
delete an article, from either Gargle Gripes or the rest of the
network. If you want to tag the article for abuse, at Google, knock
yourself out. It will be hidden, to some minor extent, at
groups.google.com, only.

Ok, I'll take a stab at that one. No one can delete anything from
Usenet. Once it's out there, it's too late for that. Even were you
to issue a cancel against the article, something I suspect lies well
outside your skill set, there are few servers which would honor it,
including Google.

No, past experience tells a different story, that maybe Tim cannot remove it entirely, but has the ability to make the post "no see".

And if memory is correct, Tim can locate the violator, and perhaps give him a warning or cut his plug.

Why is Tim reluctant on doing this now?

Perhaps Tim Skirvin is the forger and reluctant to remove the forgery

Seems like a month ago I asked Tim Skirvin over in NANA to remove this forgery, and he has not yet done it. So it makes me suspect that Tim is the forger. Now maybe Tim is a volunteer worker for NANA and feels that since not paid, he can go around doing abuse that others cannot do, and immune to repercussions.

So, I need Tim to delete the forgery.

Tim cannot delete it from Usenet. It's impossible to do so.

Re: Who are the owners of sci.math?
There are no owners of sci.math. Please see
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet>.

If you're going to submit a network abuse complaint -- and forgery is
an abuse of the network infrastructure -- send it to the indicated
contact. While your original post in this thread contained the Google
Groups address munging, the contact, in this specific case is
<***@usenet.killfile.org>.

The MX server, flea.killfile.org, uses greylisting. See
<http://postgrey.schweikert.ch/help/usenet.killfile.org.html>.
Assuming that GMail will retry, this should not be a problem. If,
after five (5) days, you receive a failure notification, you're
welcome to try the <postmaster> address, while keeping in mind that it
is to be used _only_ for mail delivery issues. <postmaster> is not an
abuse reporting address.

When you submit a complaint, you must use the un-munged version of the
message. Once you've selected the "Show original" option,
you'll need to click the "Show unmasked addresses" button, at the top
of the display and solve the CAPTCHA. Reporting a 'forgery' of
<***@gmail.com> isn't going anywhere.

Now comes the most important part: When you submit a report, do not
froth; keep it simple and succinct.

This is a forgery using my email address. Please take action which
will prevent such forgeries in the future. Thank you for your prompt
attention to this matter.

Any lunacy demanding the past forgery be deleted from Usenet is sure
to damage any chance you might have in moving forward. After all, you
have a long standing reputation as a k00k and nutter extraordinaire to
overcome. If you've been harassing Tim, directly, it's highly likely
your mail to him is finding its way directly to /dev/null.

Beyong that, be sure to send your report from the forged email address
account.

HTH.
